Pastor of English Speaking Ministries

Steve Hong considers himself a Californian (San Diego), who was born in Seoul, South Korea.  He passed through Toronto when he was a kid before his family moved to San Diego.  He went on to graduate from UC Irvine with a degree in Sociology in 2006.  After a couple of years working in consumer research, he enrolled in Bethel Seminary of Bethel University (San Diego campus) and graduated with a M.Div. degree in 2011.  Since 2010, he has served the church in various capacities: children's pastor, pastor to people with special needs, middle school pastor, college/young adult minister in Korean church settings and multicultural church settings.  

He is excited to join the KPCCOH community (Jan. 8th 2017 was his first day) here in Columbus, OH and is looking forward to knowing more about the people of KPCCOH and the people and culture of Columbus.   

He is lover of coffee, diet coke, bacon, movies, TV, pop culture, golden era hip hop, sociology, politics, context, reading, podcasts, NBA, Jeremy Lin, and, of course, THEOLOGY/BIBLE/JESUS.; 858.382.6258
